Sounds like we need a poll to pick a lake and set up a TFF OT tournament. Why don't you ladies jump in some of the many tourneys already going on. The ot peeps that actually fish tend to show up at those.

Never fished Palestine and when Fork won I hoped they would change it to Palestine.

10 year old bass boats fetching 30K plus. Mind boggling. Could have a little to do with how much some popular boat accessories are now. 10-12" screen depthfinders, Power Poles etc. You can easily add $10,000-15,000 in accessories alone these days.

Everything holds its value, until you try to sell it. I want a new to me boat but it just don't make sense right now. I want to buy a good used 2007 in 2025 or so so I can be ready to retire, so y'all take care of my future beauty!!!

What I don't understand is why are people willing to drop $60k + on something that basically has changed very little in the past 30-40 years. I get that most all hulls have gone composite, but that all took place in the late 90's. A mid to late 90's hull with brand new electronics and motor would do exactly the same as a new modern hull with the same electronics.
With that said, I'd love to have a brand new Skeeter, but just don't have enough free time to justify buying a new boat. My old beater will have to do for now. +1

My fishing partner ordered a new Ranger couple years ago, had the rod box modified at the factory to accommodate longer rods. I think he paid 70K plus after power poles, Graphs etc. He usually buys an new boat about every 8 years.

it is really no different than any other luxury item people have. Cars, Boats, Yachts, Golf, etc.. Hobbies are what help us relax and enjoy our life with friends, family, etc. My brother and I both received inheritances from our grandfather about 17 years ago. Brother had a good job and lots of money and no wife/kids, so he bought a 50K Corvette and still has it and loves it. I used mine as a downpayment on a larger house.
