If people understood what was important in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

Sand bass. Park on the road and walk down so you don't get stuck after a rain!!! Welcome to Tyler!!

Still predominately sandies but West of Chandler, where Kickapoo Creek crosses Hwy 31, crappie have been caught in the ditches and against the bridge column's. especially when current is slow.

thumb

When the temp is right, crappie will spawn between the roads in the bar ditch.

TPW has leased land both north and south of the bridge to provide easy access for fisherman. There is a boat ramp, large parking lot and from what I read, they have now added an area specifically for launching kayaks.
