Do the whites run up on EM? Up the trinity or in shady grove? If not, where's the closest place to west ft worth?

The Bridgeport spillway is open so the river is raging right now. You might want to call TRWD to see if they are still flooding before you waste a trip, if you were counting on catching Sandies in the River.

I heard they got a lot of runoff from last weeks rain up north of BP so they decided to open the gates for a while. I haven't seen what the river looks like down stream yet. It can be rough sometimes.

got a late start, not on the water until 415 i figured my best shot was up river, made the 11 mile run from Lake Country to the north end.... got there water was muddy and moving pretty good. went all the way up and tied off to the TRWD bridge and fished there for about an hour an half. cought we caught a few but not enough to make a mess cleaning fish in my yard. Brotherinlaw did get broke off after something that I will assume was a big hybrid smoked him.
Fishing was not great but the weather was awesome, I'll take an afternoon of glassy water and cold beer any day

Boda,
I'm sure there are hybrids in EM. I would like to think that is what y'all hooked up but it could have been a big blue also. Good times regardless! cheers

How far up the river is the bridge? Did yall use minnows or throw lures? Wanna take my nephew and he has a short fishing attention span.

Not too sure how far the bridge is up the river, maybe a mile? We threw artificials but minnows on a bobber may do the trick. Wouldn't hurt to try. If you look on google earth you can see it, if you try to go on the east river mouth its blocked by trees, stay west and you'll go over a big submerged culvert, be careful thereiys a little shallow
