Check out this you tube video of Mike Glover, one of my guide clients in SC. He has owned a Bobo's thumper for almost a year now. They were shooting for a local tv show. They mention the thumper and you can hear it in the background throughout the part of the video when they are on the boat starting around the 2 minute mark. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_2Pkxp8prIw

Those hard headed anglers that don't use the cadence are missing out on a lot of things.

Yes sir I agree. He has his thumper running on every trip. I guess he gets bored sometimes and uses his thumping stick as well.

Lake Murray is where I grew up fishing. At night my cousin and I would sit out on the dock under the light and catch barfish but every once in a while good stripers would come in. fun on a zebco.

I rigged a couple of zebco 303 with 17 lb test mono on 5 ft. Medium light rods for my nephews for hybrids a while back. 8 yr old hooked a good one. Line was zinging off, his arms were shaking from the pressure, eyes were scared and big. I told him to hold on, that fish will get tired after while. 20 minutes later got it landed. 11.5 lbs hybrid. His dad lost one about the same size at the boat on a abu reel with a medium heavy rod while I was netting the boys fish. His eyes were the same size as the boys and we haven't let him live losing that fish down yet.
