 Fish Moving Up On Conroe

I spent the morning with Butch Terpe. Butch is without a doubt one of the most pleasant guides I have ever fished with. After catching about 15 lbs in more than 100 hours on Conroe, I caught a bunch of fish, biggest 5+, best 5 went 15+. Most of the fish were off the bank in 4-6 ft. I caught 1 on the bank. We saw a number of beds, no bedding fish as of yet. We fished until noon and left them biting.

the way this weather goes possible that 70%+ of fish will have spawned by the time the BMC gets there

I have been out the last 3 days, caught a lot of spawn/post spawn fish. It seems to me like its half over! The Gar are starting to rip up the bank and that usually means the bass are done for the most part. Btw its only 2/24, and all the females I caught this week were spawning/done! Gotta bad feeling for the Classic heavyweight weigh inns. Water temps were 66-71. Water clarity is going south quick!
