A Rage blade is more like a scrounger head on a swivel. The entire head and plastic blade, which is one piece, does all the vibrating. It has a tighter wobble/vibration than a chatterbait. Chatter bait and strike kings version of chatterbait (Pure Poison) is more like a jig with a blade. The blade does all the vibrating. I prefer a Pure Poison, but the Rage Blade has a time in place as well.

Rage Blade for wood like lay downs and bouncing on bottom
Chatter for vegetation either pads or submerged

Rage blade if you want the bait to vibrate most of the time.....
Chatterbait if you want to constantly wonder "why its not vibrating" most of the time...
