Where would you stay this time of year for crappie fishing ? I have stayed at Minnow Bucket 3 or 4 years ago in the fall , We got a older dirty cabin and was not that happy with the lodging there . I have heard they were redone but thought there would be something better and closer to crappie fishing this time of year . thx! Mark

We stayed at Pope's landing last weekend, nice place and nice management. Easy access to the lake and they also have boat slips available for $10/day.

Burnin Stump. Super clean, covered boat parking. No cable or wireless if you need that.

+1 on popes landing. Great cabins, friendly staff, and caught some slabs there right under the boat slips in the past. big channels and bluegills there too. Caught a gill there a little over 11 inches long 3-4 years ago

If you need a place to eat & sleep then stay at oak ridge, if you just need a nice place to stay at , hook, line & sinker or 515 cabins.
If it was easy, everyone would do it

Call Bill Sweeten. He's a bass fisherman, lives on the lake and has several new multi bed room cabins. They are built with living quarter upstairs which provides for covered parking for vehicle and boat. He would be happy to share some local knowledge with you. Speak to Bill or his wife, Sandy, at 903-335-2461. Tell them David in Arlington referred you.
