. If you have access to the water at your place, go fish the stumps around that island to your north...also, fish around the west and the north end of the peninsula just to the south of of the island...it is relatively shallow and very stumpy, so go slow...I have caught some large crappie from there, in the spring...just move stump to stump till you get into them good, then sit for a while! Keep moving along that bank towards the river...

Thanks, that point is close to meso I will try that and I was thinking about around that island because I knew there was alot trees around it. I found 2 Christmas trees and have been on Navionics trying to figure where to put them.

I used to pitch jigs up on the bank, then drag them off a foot or so at a time, until they got bit...let them lay on the bottom...crappie will pick them up when they pass through their area. Seemed to work pretty good, that or corking them.
