With the water at 62 degrees I suspect they should be staging somewhere around 10 to 12 ft deep. I just couldn't find anything at that depth. If there are any black crappie in there they might up shallow but I didn't find any. When they start to spawn they will for sure go up in the creek and up in the trees.
Last year I saw them caught under the boat houses during spawn. Water is shallow under most of the boat houses 4 to 5 ft.
