Grass is always greener over on the Mexican side. Why else would they be putting up a wall to keep you out? http://www.tackleandrods.com/lake/flash.htm

was just there all of last week....most of the mexico side was really dirty water. If you do fish that side, black and red plastics worked best. Most fish are post spawn. I'm sure there are some spawners still but our best quality with numbers was in 8-10ft.

Was there last week also, and I agree with musiclife, secondary points and humps around spawning coves were the deal then. Seems like a lot of the fish were starting to pull out. Caught all of my fish in 9 to 12ft on ROCK. Caught some really nice fish throughout the week just didn't happen for me on tournament days. Caught them on c-rigs, cranks and jigs. Seemed like whatever you threw on c-rig needed to have some red flake in it, chartreuse blue back for crankbait in 6xd.

Both. If you want to fish old house foundations, there are more on the Texas side, especially mid-lake.

The nets down there on the Mexican side are out of control in places. 90% of my spots are on the Mexico side and a couple of weekends ago, I just gave up on the Mexico side because I got tired of dealing with the nets, kept hanging the DD22 into unmarked, submerged nets. Getting into Blanco was a rodeo and I felt like a slalom skiier just north of the #9 marker dodging the nets. So the take-away from that is that when you're running the lake on plane, favor the Texas side.

The 'state of the nets' can vary day-to-day, but that's just what I found.

The water's dirty pretty much all over the lake. The Salinias only had about a foot and a half of visibility, which is the clearer end of the lake by the dam. I didn't go into the Salado, but a teammate told me it was like chocolate milk, so I never made it north of the Veleno.

Well, last wed we caught a lot outta bushes 2ft or less. Then the front hit; and thurs was a bust. Friday we found solid 4 lbers in some trees on the Mexican side. Then we drove in the rain all day Saturday back home lol. So all in all it was an ok trip. Ohh I almost forgot, we got caught in the net mess, I had no idea that they could shut down a 225! 95% of all the bass were spawned out, we saw 1 on a bed and it halled arse when I flipped at it.
