If any guide tells you he wants to troll at PK better get another one. PK is a flooded forest. You can't fight the trees and there's way too much bait to catch many fish on artificial. You want a guide with a big bait tank full of shad.

Yep, Randy Wood is a good one too. He has taught me quite abit about PK

I've only fished with Randy once but we caught striper after striper. After seeing how the stripers reacted to those live shad I bought a grayline bait tank.

Can't wait until the Cedar pollen blows off. With this warm weather the sandy spawn will come early this year.

That's true TCK73. I caught a limit in 2013 in late February at PK. 48-55 degree water does not slow down ocean fish. Just makes the bait slower. I've caught stripers trolling crankbaits in 48 degree water. All that said, I bet water temps at PK are getting into the 50's.

Don't know if your hooked up with Kerry or Randy yet, but both come highly recommended. I'm sure either can put you on fish, and if all the stars aligned could be a very special day.
