I realize the calendar says it's Winter but Mother Nature says it's Spring and the fish believe it! While all our Guide Trips have been for Catfish the past couple of months, the rumor has it that some good White Bass and Hybrid action was had over the Weekend on the Main Lake. We got rained out today but have trips scheduled from Wednesday on thru the end of the Week. May try a White Bass outing on one of the days but the Catfish have just been too easy to abandon! roflmao Catfish are in the timber off Crab Creek in 25'FOW and are pretty consistent on DK's Blood Punch Bait. Here's a few pics from last week:

Nice fish, good to see the water right up under the fuel dock at Fisherman's Point again. Last few years were pretty bad on water levels.

Good day on the Lake Wednesday Afternoon and chased the White Bass with a Dad, Son and Grandson up from Houston. Ended the day with a nice box of fish. Had a two boat eight person Party this AM and the Wind and Fishing were both tough. Should have gone back to Catfishin' as we managed 93 Keeper Whites for the Group. Lots of small Sandies and Hybrids mixed in! All fish both days in 25'-40' FOW on Main lake Points and Humps. Silver or Chartruese RSR Slabs were the baits of choice.

Fishing continues to be good for Catfish, and the Whites and Hybrid action is fair. I believe the coming Full Moon week of March 13th will find many of the Whites up the Creeks attempting the Spawn. We have a little flow in the Creeks, water temp is in the 60's and the Moon Phase is right. Hope we can get a good Spawn this year as we did the past two years.

Adam and I have a couple of days open during Spring Break Week and then lots of Weekdays available after march 20th. Give us a call and We'll Go Catchin'!

Here's a few pics from the last week's outings!

Been awhile since we posted as we've been on the Lake almost everyday since March began. We've focused on the White Bass and Hybrid Stripers all this month and have not been disappointed. The bite is already good and will only get better as the spawn should be over soon. We're focusing on Main Lake Points and Drop Offs in the 15' FOW range to catch our fish. All being caught on RSR 1oz. Silver or Chartruese Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) and often with a Jig Teaser. We have April & May Weekdays open but no Weekends till the end of June. Give us a call and Let's Go Catchin'! fish

As we close out March, RC is in excellent shape at a few inches above Pool Level, water temp in the high 60's and basically any specie of fish you want to go after being caught. clap We've still been doing a little bit of Catfishing, but the majority of our trips have been for White Bass & Hybrids. The past week has been exceptional with easy limits of quality Whites and an occasional Keeper Hybrid. Lots of smaller Hybrids are mixed in with the Whites so be careful & look carefully at what you're throwing in the ice chest. Main Lake Humps, Points, Roadbeds, etc. in 15'-25'FOW are loaded with fish! We have a few Weekday openings in April if you want to get in on the action. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

We will add one last "Spring Report" update to this thread and then let it fade away for another year. Adam and I want to say THANKS to those of you who may read these reports, fished with us or just say you follow us on the TFF. It's pretty common to meet someone each week or so who says they enjoy the reports but never post on the Forum. We've already had a great Spring as we conducted more trips in the mild February weather this year than in the past 17 years of Guiding, had an extremely busy month of March, and we have an April calendar that is completely filled. Thanks to lots of loyal customers, we don't have an open Saturday till July!!! laugh

This past week was great as we were on the Lake each day except for a Stormy Wednesday & Windy Thursday. All trips were for Whites and Hybrids and they didn't disappoint. We ended the week on Saturday with a Group Trip with some Great Guys from the Ft. Worth area and they loaded the ice chests with Sandies and a big 10lb. Blue Cat! White Bass are literally everywhere on the Main lake Points and Humps in 15'-25'FOW and we're catching them two at a time with a RSR Slab and Jig Teaser ( www.rsrlures.com ). Many of the fish are completing their spawn and the action will only get better over the next few weeks. Here's hoping you have a Great Spring!
