I ordered one from amazon on Saturday and tried it out yesterday at a local park pond. 3rd cast out line snapped and it went sailing out into the middle of the pond. I got lucky, the wind was blowing just enough to push it to the other side and I got it back. My fault 12lb test is not heavy enough for casting that thing. The down side I found is connectivity isssues. Roughly 40 plus feet out and it would loose connection to what ever I paired it with. Did you experience that?

Interesting! hmmm

Side Note: I have fished the bank a lot over the years and have never needed a graph! May work for some as for me I keep it very simple. thumb Enjoyed as always your videos. thumb

I got one a few weeks ago and love it. I just toss it in the water just to see what is going on. It's a good tool to have to do a little recon on ponds that I've never been to.

Yes I have the pro plus. I sent it back and have another one coming. Hopefully this next one won't have any connectivity issues. I'm looking forward to trying it out on my kayak.

I have a pro+ too and haven't had any connectivity issues with the phone. It did take what seemed like forever to get a satellite lock the first time I used it. When I use it, I clip it to the pole and toss it near the bank and let it do its thing. While it's connecting I rig up my second pole and usually the deeper is gtg by then.

1 more thing to break or screw up not to mention the cost.
It's not a must have in my book.

Nice piece of equipment. I mainly fish from a boat but also do a lot of bank and dock fishing. Have side scan on the boat and love it. May just have to invest in the Deeper Pro! Cool video. coolio

Yes its not for everyone. I personally do all my fishing from a kayak or the bank and was planning to buy a finder for my kayak anyway. This option works out great for both and its less expensive than buying a boat only type finder. So for me its a bonus.

It's greatest use is on docks, as you can instantly see what depth the fish are holding at. Then you just drop it down right above their heads and start catching. I have used it in ponds with great success as well, but I think it's best use is on docks

I have one as well and have connectivity issues nearly every time out. I very rarely use it because of that.
