another trip to my chummed up spot on Town lake Austin Texas for monster common carp.
fishing was a little slower today than previously but i still managed a solid 20# common carp on sweet corn in the middle of my chum, when carp fishing one thing is for sure persistent chumming is key to success.
thinking about trying the 2 pound test fishing challenge at my spot, would be more than epic to hook up to a monster carp on ultra lite gear.

I chum with range cubes and they work pretty well. They look like rabbit pellets except they are about an inch in diameter. I made throwers out of PVC pipe and can throw them at least as far as I can cast with a 9' rod. When I'm carp fishing, most of the time it is just a fun fish so I'm not at all upset if it calls in the catfish, drum and buffalo too. If I'm purely carp fishing I use the same throwers to put out boilies. Just don't use tutie-fruitie flavored ones, the catfish love those things! Corn is good but if you don't have or make yourself a spod it is hard to scatter very far from shore.

You know that old saying "Some people march to the beat of a different drummer."? I don't listen to a drum at all and have meandered through life instead of marching.
