Caddo has been on the last couple weeks. Fishing the river at 10-15 feet, on lay downs. 58 degree water. Stained. Good on minnows.

Thanks for the report. Was wondering about it lately since the wind has been giving me fits on the lakes. Nice mess of fish. thumb

Yeah wind chased me off Pines a few weeks ago, and it's been good enough at Caddo to stay on it. Expecting them to move to the trees any time now since it's been so warm

I don't know much about Caddo. When you say river are you talking around the state park area or the river channel towards the main part of the lake? I fully understand if you'd rather not say.

Nice looking fish! I love Caddo Lake, that is where I first learned to fish😄. A lot of good memories there,

Just got back home from the Big Cypress and we didn't do so good. Boat motor trouble all the while and it finally quit, then trolling motor got hot and quit and we got a tow from another crappie fisherman. Almost got swamped by an a-hole in a big powered bass boat. Blatantly obvious what he tried to do to us and only missed us by about 15 ft, kicked the his stern toward us and went full power and this was back in Alligator bayou which is very narrow. The guy that towed us almost got hit too.
The fish we did manage to catch were 12ft down in 15-16 fow. It's about to get real good down there.
Next time I'm taking my boat down. I hate being stranded.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Now it's a shame that you didn't see him at the boat ramp, someday he will get a education from someone, if you know what I mean boxing
Good to hear you made it back ok.

If it was easy, everyone would do it

Me too, hate stranded...a really good trolling motor with oversized wiring to the battery is a pretty good insurance policy when stuff happens! With extra fuses! Lol, been there!

Blew a powerhead on big cypress once, a trolling motor is certainly a good safety net.
