Does anyone have an easy way to clear the powder coat or paint from the jig eyes. Seems like everyone i get the eyelets are covered with paint as hard as steel.

I use a fluid bed and dip the jigs in just enough to cover the head and not on the eye. Saves a lot of time not having to clear the eyes.

You can use torch cleaners to clean them before bake or use another hook to pop the paint out after bake

One of the things I use is a seam ripper like my mom used to make clothing alterations. Pay attention while using, you can stick yourself quick if you don't.

I would rather die finding out there was no God than die finding out there is.

Use a hook from another jig. It's right there and no need to keep up with one more thing.

I use a medical forceps and hold the eye for heating and dipping for color. Never need to clean the eye.

Using the site for a while...this is really great to share fishing ideas and success with others.
