Catching bait last night someone opened fire with semi auto rifle im guessing. It was loud. Less than 100 yds. Be careful out there at night.

Lol I remember a post a while back about California not being safe. And a gentleman argued the fact that it is so safe he has never in counter a bad situation in 20 years. I was like it might be a different 0lace. Cause I've seen and heard many stories about that place. I don't even go there any more. Be safe out there guys.

A little spot of heaven in Dallas/Irving just south of northwest highway close to the trinity river.

It`s a Park with an uncontrolled spillway where the Elm Fork Trinity snakes it`s way past NW Hwy thru Las Colinas heading SE towards Dallas. It`s just south of a shooting rang over behind a Spec`s store on NW Hwy.

when i was a kid in the 80s we used to fish until dark then street race on that slick road half the night. It was sketchy back then.......I imagine it is worse now.

Worst part was I dropped my 150 dollar throw net in the river when the shooting began. Ouch

We used to hang out at the street races out there back in the day as well. And I agree, that can be a bad part of town when the sun goes down.

big hybrids,sandies, blues, and channels there when the water is running. No problems during the day, most of the time at night the police patrol it pretty heavily, but i still would not recommend it for night fishing.
