Looking for some input. Me and my buddy took my boat down there for the first time last November and had a blast. We put in each day at Conn Brown and fished that area out to the FEMA docks and had a good time. We are going again next weekend, and we’re wondering if we’ll find the fish in the same areas we did last time or will they have moved to a “wintering” area. What types of areas should we focus on, deeper channels, or are they still going to be relatively shallow still? Looking for Reds and trout primarily and would love to find some flounder. Boat is a Mako 1801, I’ll run about 3’ deep before I get nervous. Thanks for any input

I would head down the channel that runs along 361 and hang a left at hog island and fish the shoreline along there. Should be some red fish and drum in there. If you like to drift throwing plastics go to mud island, just south of the tip about 5-600 yards out and drift into the point. You should be able to scrape up some trout doing that.
