Is there one oil you prefer over another? I've got some reels that sound like it's time to add a few drops...
Was thinking quantum hot sauce, the Lucas oil, frog lube (that I use for firearms) or the ardent stuff...

What ever I have at the time, I fish a lot with some of my father's tackle we used anything we had usually a type of gun oil even from the dipstick on the truck a couple a times and they still work perfectly. The only real difference I saw was using a moly based lube on a level wind, that you could tell.

Please don't use the hot sauce.  TS 301 TGs Rocket Fuel Ardent's reel butter I have wanted to try the Lucas reel oil just my .02

After I used up the abu oil that came with the reels. I mainly use RemOil (guns and reels) for the past 17 years. I also have a can of CorrosionX that I use occasionally.

What's wrong with good old sewing machine or 3 in1 oil? I bet I have a dozen different Lube's in my gun room, surely I have a few good reel oils.

TG'S Yellow Label Rocket Fuel is the best I've found. Shimano reel oil is also very good.
