We're continuing a membership drive for the Houston West Bass Wranglers. We are one of the oldest clubs in Texas and are affiliated with TABC and were the TABC champions in 2013!!


HWBW is a non-profit, unincorporated association of individuals, the purpose of which is to promote, foster and safeguard black bass fishing for personal enjoyment, relaxation, and fellowship now and for future generations
We mainly need non-boaters, but anyone is welcome!

We meet on the first weds of every month at an undisclosed location (we'll disclose it to you anyways).

Our first 6 tournaments for 2017 have already been chosen and are as follows:

Jan 21/22 Bastrop / Bastrop Inn
Feb 11/12 Fayette / Oak Thicket Park
Mar 11/12 Falcon / Beacon Lodge
Apr 1/2 Toledo Bend / Fin and Feather
May 6/7 Fork / Axton's Bass City
June 3/4 Richland Chambers / Fishermans Point

We have changed the Mar 11/12 Tournament to Sam Rayburn staying at Lakeview cabins......

Update to the club......

Our annual membership is now just $100.00.

Also, We have awards for our top 6 anglers ($40), Big Bass of the year ($75), and Club champion ($75).....however, these funds are used, the item purchased whether it is a new rod, jacket, hat, etc......must say Houston West Bass Wranglers or HWBW on them somewhere......

The club will be attending the TABC Championship in Sep at Lake Falcon.....

Bump up.....Had a great time at Fayette, nearly everyone caught a limit, if not culled.....Results forthcoming on club website!

We still need another non-boater or 2, of course boaters are always welcome as well!
