Does anybody have an idea or has re-carpeted a boat and know about how much it is? Or know of any places that are good? Just trying to get an idea! Thanks

A good one in Sanger and another at Lake Fork. Both on TFF. Search "carpet" in subject. Usually runs around $950.00

Guy in Sanger did mine just a couple of weeks ago, cost was about $1150 including padding on front and back decks.
I was very happy with it.

Just did mine on a 350v ranger. Cost $60 for carpet at Home Depot. Redid my old 17' bass tracker 8 yrs ago with same carpet and it still looks brand new.

My grandad did his own with that bright green outdoor turf stuff. Ugliest thing I'd ever seen but only took him a couple hours. I remember asking him why he used that stuff. He said "why not?" Grandpas rule

Don't buy the Home Depot stuff I used it once and only got about a year out of it Home Depot carpet lasts 8 years for Fat Shaft & only about a year for Hoghunter36... Why? Different grades possibly? I like the sound of getting 8 years out of some reasonably priced marine carpet I can pick up 10 minutes from my house.. Anyone else have any experience with Home Depot marine carpet?

I use HD carpet for my bunks, but I'd go with a heavy carpet and pad for my boat.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

Don't use home depot carpet. It is really tempting because it is so cheap, but it just won't last. It's too thin. Not only will it wear fast, I've seen some people rip it dragging their foot on a hook set. It just isn't designed for that. Look for 20 oz. carpet at a minimum, and it will LAST! Especially if you take care of it. Can be had for not too terrible of a cost, and it will be worth it. Someone keeping 8 years of HD carpet, that's crazy. Good for them! But I'm just going to speculate, they probably kept their boat covered at all times, and don't fish too terribly often. If you fish regularly walking around on it, opening your hatches a lot, etc. you will wear out HD carpet FAST. And then you're right back where you started, having to do the tedious job of putting carpet on your boat.

Mine was redone in the thickest carpet money can buy.. Problem is now, compartments are "tight". I broke a latch pulling door open. I hoping it will ware down with usage. have been told, heat or wax are also possible fixes.
I fish, ontario and ny during summer. make trips to fl, And Texas during winter. My website is Ontariobasstournaments.com

They will wear in. New carpet is always tight! You must've gone even thicker than 20 oz.!

I promise u it won't disappoint. I can send pics of new carpet and old stuff in other boat if you wanna check it out. Old boat doesn't stay in garage but does have a lil half shed it stays under but rain still can get to it some. Very good stuff in my experience
