Caught this guy in my pond on a crappie jig of all things. Doesn't look like in this photo it but he weighed 11 pounds. My Cajun buddies filleted him, cut the meat into 2"x3" strips, seasoned and fried him with some crappie. He ate pretty good.

I don't know if ya'll are familiar with these but my Cajun buddies turned me on to them. I have caught more bass out of my pond on them than any other lure in my box. It's designed to swim the worm 4"-6" below the surface along the shoreline. wobbleheadlures.com  Middle of the day(2pm-3pm), 90 degrees, I was able to catch 8 LMB's on these things. Had a blast!!!

Part of the pond management program is to remove competing species so the bass have more to eat. With the help of a couple of friends we put a dent in the crappie population this weekend. We also caught one of the biggest/fattest green sunfish I have ever seen.
