One thing that you need to check on is the ACTUAL breaking strength of Triline XL at the 2 lb weight. The IGFA determines the line class as the ACTUAL breaking strength of the 5 meters of line immediately before the hook or double line leading to the hook. It would be a shame to work so hard only to find out that your "2 lb" line was actually closer to 4 lb breaking strength. Tests have indicated that the line "weight" of fishing lines is mostly just a reference number rather than an actual indication of its breaking point. For example the biggest difference between Triline XL and Triline XT is that XT has a larger diameter and a higher breaking point in the same line weight. Nearly all monofilament lines have their diameter on the line spool or box. What you need to do is buy line that is IGFA certified. If it is, it will be printed on the spool label.
