So I bought a 13 Concept A black reel last year to try out. I have put a couple different brands of fluorocarbon on this reel and I can't not get it to cast smooth at all. I have fluorocarbon on a couple of my Lews reels with no issues. It is frustrating as all get out not being able to cast that reel worth a darn. Anyone have the same issue? I have not tried monofilament on it yet.

What diameter and brand flouro is it?

I think the first line I put on there was pline. Today I put seaguar abrazx 12 lb .285.

Ok so I'm an idiot. I thought there wasn't a mag setting for some reason. Figured out how to take side cover off and adjust mag this morning. Worked flawless. That's what I get for not reading directions.

Don't beat yourself up, my first 13 fishing reel was the C and I was ready to throw it in the water after 5 minutes of use... after getting it set right it is my go to!

I like it for anything over 5/16 oz. anything smaller, forget about it!

Getting the brake and spool tension set takes some time but once you have it there they are sweet reels.
I use dedicated reels for particular techniques so once it's set up it stays that way.
They are my go to reels for most of my plastics.

With some brands of fc you need to put it on tight.
