I have a 3D seat for my ATAK and I'm thinking about using it for a stand-up bar. If you use them on your kayak do you like them, do you feel like they make a difference? The only con I can think of is it might make it harder to get into the front hatch if I have it laying flat on the deck/one more obstacle for line to get tangled on.

Yak gear makes a collapsible stand up bar. If its up it definitely helps standing. When its down its not much of an obstacle.

Hey UpChurch_k, does that seat get in the way of casting.. I have been thinking about getting one! Also, I am a big guy.. Was wondering how sturdy it was to lean on!

officerkrc the seat doesn't really get in the way of casting, it will get in the way of your crate though. If your rod holders are mounted on your crate like mine then they are pretty much useless when the 3D seat is up. It's definitely sturdy enough to sit on but to me it was a little bit awkward.

Never used one, but I'm a lover of open cockpits, so I can't imagine wanting one. Now a pull-up strap, that's a different story, and critical to my ability to stand up. bolt

My Jackson Big Rig came with one. I took it off. It seemed to be more of an obstacle vs. help in standing.

So I dont use it.

Just my two cents
