Does a power plant lake like Fayette county lake have any affect on the timing of the channels cat spawn.

They spawn when the water temps approach the 70*F-80*F mark. So yes, if the water is warmed from the PP, then the spawn may start earlier there than on other lakes in the region.

If you go read the TP&W lake survey for Fayette, you will see that if they spawn, none survive.

Obiewan might be able to help you on Fayette Lake spawn. I know it seems like it starts in March.

I hear on Fayette lake its real tough to catch channels on that lake in April because they are spawning, they aren't in the usually areas on the main lake.

God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28
