I drive over this small creek daily on my way home from work. Looks interesting, but only access seems to be near the bridge and I have wrongfully disregarded it for too long. A flood weeks ago cleared much of the heavy brush and I decided to fish there. Wow! Some of the most beautiful spotted bass I have seen. Great trip. Caught most my fish on the small keitech spin jigs in 1/16oz size. Caught redbreast, long ear, crappie, spotted bass, and largemouth bass. Interesting that I landed a large carp and lost two on the same jig. Used my G-Rod 66UL pro trout rod , with Shimano Ci4 1000 and 3 lbs fluorocarbon. Great fun!

I have wanted to fish this spot for a long while. Kicking myself now that I took so long!! Better late than never! Those spotted bass are beautiful.

Great post and pictures I do the same thing. I try to fish every bridge on my way home or within a few miles of my way home, lol. Not only do you find a few jewels there but some of the biggest sunfish I have caught have been out of ponds most people wouldn't even bother to try. By the way, I get really disappointed every time I view your posts. A guy with the forum name fishwfly shouldn't be that proud of his fancy spinning gear

LOL! I like to catch fish J-Moe. Whatever method works..... I go through fishing moods I guess. Sometimes it's baitcaster, spinning , Tenkara rod, fly rod, you name it. I just love to fish. I am only pure to the sport ,not the methods.
