Is it more of a big fish lake or a good lake for numbers of eater sized blue cats?
We have a cabin in black rock park next month and will be staying out there a couple days with the wife and kids so just wanted to get an idea of what to bring out there?
Any advice would be helpful thanks fellas.

I love Buchanan and have seen many blues caught over 10 pounds including some monsters. I have caught flatheads over 30 pounds and I don't fish there near as often as I would like. Just net some shad and start in 20 fow near the upper end of the lake. You may even want to check out the river. I am willing to bet you could do just fine though down by the dam and Black Rock...sure there are folks on here that can be more specific as I don't get out there very often anymore. You should get a room at Paradise Point...that dock is loaded with crappie and that is where I have caught a bunch of kitties. Hiline is right down the road too.
