Was way up north today poking around out of the wind. Water was 52-60 degrees. Caught 1 fish in 7' water. I'll try a little deeper water tomorrow. Fishing has been terrible on Lavon. If I were wanting to catch many I would not go to Lavon. Fish are on the move and really scattered. I can't honestly give you an area or a pattern that I know is working at the moment. I will know more tomorrow.

I went about a week ago and horrible for me also. Not a single bite, not even a sniff I don't think! Found baitfish and marked some fish under them, but whatever they were, they didn't want any part of what I was givin them! I even used one of those Lane Palmer baits in the famous Lavon blazin razin color hammer

Was out Sunday afternoon, pulled up to a spot in 30' of water and caught 6 immediately. Never had a thump for the next 3 hours. Fished from 7' to 30', all kinds of structure, very very slow.

Not being unresponsive, there's just no (quantity) crappie to be had this time of year.
Lavon is my home lake and less than 30 minutes away. I take Jerry's advice and fish other lakes in the winter!! lol cool
Fork or Pines are good choices in winter.
Good luck out there though!

Twak Hybrid -
Dead stickin' flukes is like vertical jigging for crappie... 'cept mo bigga!
I'm still learning it, but just a little imperceptible tick... could be 5+ lbs cheers

I went out on Sunday and didn't get a crappie at all. I did scout some new areas and saw some really long fish on the graph.
