Haven't posted a report or been on the lake in awhile. Made it out yesterday with my youngest son, who will be 3 in a month and we started looking around the humps but not marking much. What I was seeing was fish suspended in deeper water. So we set up about 200 yards off the main lake point in 40' of water. Set the spot lock on the TM grabbed a rod with a 1/2 ounce slab. Started thumping and it only took a few minutes for the sandies to gather under the boat from the bottom to about 20'. I raised the slab up to 20' and it would take a slight bounce with the rod tip to entice them to bite but bite they did. We sat at that spot for 30 minutes and caught about 15 or so before my son was ready to go back home. This was his second boating trip and first time to fish and he loved it. The first 10 or so fish were 10"-12" then got smaller the longer we stayed and they weren't as thick under the boat. So I would suggest move over a 100 yards or so and repeat the process. Most of the main lake had fish suspended so keep an eye on your graph and when you mark them good set up and give it a try.

Good job getting your son involved.

Thanks for the report.
