Have any of you guys ever fished Cypress Springs? Can you suggest a good launch point? I've never been there, but would love to try it out soon.
thanks!

FlashFrog, Never fished it . . . but I bet it will be great. Here are 5 launch points noted by TPWD. All are rated "excellent" so you'll have your pick of places. In addition to these launch sites, TPWD mentions the lake also has a good supply of bank fishing opportunities and those add some alternatives depending on how you normally put your kayak into a lake. Since I'm from Mt Vernon, all of these Cypress Spring launch locations have been saved on Google maps to visit. But, having a home in Grapeland, I would like to find launch points on Houston County Lake.

I'm sure you know these two. Most lakes have those special little areas to drop a kayak in, at least many do. One issue is always parking somewhere safe. Nice looking lake! I know they have radically modified the aquatic vegetation on Lake Raven, but that is one I plan to hit this summer. It just looks nice, kayak friendly. Brad
