Is it a classic? Are you planning on keeping it forever? I probably wouldn't go through the expense of it just because unless the truck is something special.

Maybe get a paint gun and try a little diy. With a little research and practice I think it could be done.

I was considering a complete paint job on my old Chevy truck a couple years ago and only found two shops here in southeast Texas (Orange)that would do it. Most of my area paint and body shops told me they don't have time and manpower for complete repaints....they stay busy with repair work (insurance work) and make more money. I had bids from two shops at $3500-$4000 same color.

Look up Dipyourcar.com and watch their youtube vidoes. Much more affordable and you can make/change to any color you want.

I had some work done by Roy's on my old 97 some time ago and they did a good job and was reasonable. They stay pretty busy and GPD an the City of Garland uses them too.

I know this sounds crazy but I've had two vehicles painted at Maaco in Garland and have been impressed. I got the highest package they had for 1700.00
