I can't speak for Toledo Bend. As far as Sabine Lake goes I'm not sure there is a nav chip that does much good. I have lakemaster and navionics on my graph. My Navionics chip is 5yrs old and it will give you some data in and close by the ship channel, but in the actual lake it is essentially worthless. Maybe a newer version of Navionics will have more data?? Hopefully someone with a newer version will chime in here. I appreciate you asking this question. Been wondering the same thing.

I would get the Navionics HotMaps Platinum card. I really like the Satellite imagery because it is a life saver running the shallow marshes that connect to Sabine Lake. Here is a screen shot of Sabine Lake on the navionics webapp. They show some contours but there is definitely room to improve. Sabine Lake is my home lake and I'm getting my new boat monday and I will be out there making sonar logs to try and improve the contours on Sabine Lake.

The best nav chip for any body of water in my opinion is Naviaonics. I use Navionics Plus with Sonar Live updating. I have never seen bottom contoure updating and accuracy at this level on anything else.

Check out their website: Navionics +

I just got a new chart plotter for my boat, a Raymarine eS98, and I chose the Navionics chip when I bought it.

Pretty awesome.
