I've done ALL of the above , opened the store work 7 days a week PF went crazy , was miserable.

Nothing actually cures it until that tendon is released , shots help the inflammation but it's temporary

Had the surgery , use power steps insoles , wear good supporting shoes , lost some weight , still on my feet 12 hours a day and feeling good , about to start using the treadmill again.

This worked on me too.

Yep I've had couple bouts of it and a year or so is what mine last. Gently stretching feet in morning helps. It's easy to remember to do this after you jump out of bed and scream bloody murder a few times. It sucks.

I've had it off and on in both feet for a few years. Currently I feel tightness now in my calves and only rare pain. I stretch as often as I can.

I've had it so bad I felt like I was walking on hot coals. I've had cortisone shots up the bottom of the heel and have also had to use the little roll around cart looking thing. Working at a car dealership, that thing was awesome. I could cover lots of territory with it in no time, but I quickly learned to watch out for pebbles. I read a huge percentage of the people who have to use the cart end up in surgery for broken wrists after fallin with it. LOL

At the Good Feet Store you can get about $50 worth of inserts for some ridiculous price. They work.

The wife and her brother, my BIL both had it so bad they both had surgery and it fixed both of them. Sure it was surgery but it worked. They had done all the above to no avail. It gets so bad in some people that surgery is the only answer.

How long is the recovery time from the surgery to get back to normal? I have heard anywhere from a couple weeks to 6 months and everything in between

In the bottom of your foot? If so that had to hurt.

Did the Cortisol shots and then did the PRP (Plasma Replacement Procedure) The PRP made the Cortisol feel like feathers. Dang near passed out.

In the end the biggest relief for me was going to Run On and having them evaluate my gait. They then recommend the best brands for your foot/walking style. For me it was Asics followed by Brooks. I also got custom orthotic inserts that I put in my shoes and even my slippers around the house.

Boots helped me as well, but I wasn't normally a boot wearer. I wear boots about 3 to 4 days a week substituting the tennis shoes in between. I think continuously wearing different shoes (with my inserts of course) has really helped.

However, I will say I haven't been running since the injuries and would really like to run again. I'm just too afraid since the flare ups. I could barely walk for days.
