will have mornings and Nights free. I have only fished the jetties and crystal Beach out of Boats. Any areas on the seawall or close by?
Thanks in advance.

if the wind will cooperate, you can fish off the rock groins that extend out 100' or so along the seawall or go around to Pelican island and wade the shoreline. google the areas first.

I've fished chartreuse tandem jigs in the surf and had some luck with trout and whiting.. that was back in the summer though and the water was warm enough to wade out to the second bar.

BTW: I would like to inform you of the extreme amount of Seaweed on the Beaches. I haven't heard much talk of it on TV lately but last week it looked awful. With the Gale force winds we had over the weekend, water was blown out of the bay and away from the Beach areas. It may take some time to get back to normal. You may need to call a few places to check on these two situations.

In that case, fish at night, under the lights, with a popping cork and shrimp, and lots of beer.

I am here right now. The seaweed is insane on the beaches. Today the surf was 2-4 ft and mud so I didn't even try. I am here with my wife for a conference. I might try to fish if the weather works out. Ill let you know if I catch anything.

The stuff that is on the beaches now isn't actually the seaweed we see in the summer. This aquatic vegetation is what was washed down into our bays from the last flooding. All freshwater veggies!! North/Northeast winds are at 10-20 now which may or may not push out the water again.
