I was able to get out for about 2 hours last night (24 Jan) with my daughter. We ended up with one in the boat and had another nice one hooked. We also had another 6 nice bites. We would probably landed a few more but I'm trying to teach her how to plastic worm fish. She is picking it up quick and will be dragging them in the boat in a few months.

People often ask me why I like going to the lake so much. I think this picture I took last night pretty much sums it up.

Nice picture. Glad to see you and your daughter spending quality time. I'll be out there soon with my son doing the same.

Legal for Lines In at 6am. I'm not that mad at those poor fish!

6 fish 11.25, Don Holding won it.... Welcome to to the club Don!!! Wes, we are always looking for new members that love fishing. We are serious about our fishing, but more serious about comraderie (there may be some beer drinking and shenanigans from time-to-time as well). If you are interested in joining shoot me a message 😀

Thank you Jobie99 and all the members of the medina lake bass club for the nice welcome, I look forward on getting to know everyone as time goes on. There is a ton of active fish between 13 to 13 and 3/4 inches, the hard deal was finding legal fish for the weigh in, I never went more than 5 minutes without a bite or catching a fish, most big fish are just suspended right now in open deep water close to shallow structure, most of my fish came off a Texas rig baby brush hog and a 1/2 oz wobble head with a beaver type creature bait. The Texas Rig weights were 3/8 oz. I had bigger weights to fish deeper but never got a bite anything heavier than a 1/2 oz. I guess they liked the slower fall in the clear water and didn't want to chase something moving fast. If you are fishing the lake now you need to cover water, deep points and ledges with shallow water close by. also please take care of the fish. The spawn will be here in about 6 weeks and we need every fish possible to do there thing so we will continue to enjoy this lake and all it has to offer.

Took the boys out Sunday,3/8oz spinner worked good in the back coves by Turks. All small bass but think the one that got away at the boat might have been a keeper. roflmao
Hey,anyone notice that abandoned looking pontoon the the back of the first cove going up past Mormans bluff? Kids call it the heel of the boot. Anyway, looks suspicious. Tx numbers removed. I didn't see any bodies aboard, but didn't look too hard. 29* 32.980'N 98* 58.817'W
