Drove to Fork yesterday to check on my RV and decided to take the boat for a spin. I had no chum made but had a bucket of Stubbys cheese in my boat. Now the wind was supposed to blow 9 mph but I would say it was blowing about 15. I did get several bites and caugh one nice channel catfish in 32 foot deep water. I was not scientific on my depth selection it was just a tree that is nice to tie onto. I was fairly pleased that my RV and boat, Stubbys bait all doing good. I am far from a cold water expert but have found fish less cooperative when the water temp is below 50? Any suggestions appreciated.

I have had less success chumming in cold weather also. I was curious if I chose the correct depth to fish?

I fished Saturday from noon to 3 in 27ft of water. Caught over 25 kept 14. Small fish. Biggest was 2 lbs. Most 13 to 15 in. Chummed with range cubes. Used Stubby's weightless. Left em biting.

When chumming in cold water, it takes longer for the scent to get out. If your in the right spot, bingo, if not just wait about 20 minutes longer then what you normally wait. If no bite, move to the next spot.
