All,

I'm new to the forums but have been lurking for a while. Check out my Winter Bass Fishing video on the creek!

Cheers, happy fishing and take care!

I wouldn't post the location, but the bridge and side concrete pretty much gave that away. There are some deeper and less pressured spots along white rock creek.

For sure, a low pressured spot! I've never seen anyone there! Much like a lot of other spots a long the way. See ya'll there, lol! whip

There's enough copperheads, water moccasins, and poison ivy to keep most people out of WRC

i grew up fishing WRC and Dixon Branch (which ran behind my house just north of WRL) back in the 70's, Back then we did not venture past Fair Oaks. I walked the banks near NW Highway / Lawther Road last weekend with my son and we caught about 12, mostly dinks. it is still a great place to get away. With all the development along the creek you can find bass all the way up to the Colony.

I haven't seen any copperheads or wm's but I have seen diamondback water snakes there. Not venomous.

You bet. Thank you. The creek system is fairly healthy even with the trash I find there. Let's just say I bring in bigger sacks of trash than Bass! bannana2

I've heard the numbers become better the farther south you go. If for anything, I agree that it's a great place to get away.

Guys, if ur in Dallas this is a hidden gem. Went and scouted south of Frankford and there is big openings. Sighted 3-4 pound largies and saw some cruising channel cats. Combined with the scenery, there isn't a better fishery in the city! CHECK IT!

I know you guys think I'm a damn fool but I haven't seen anyone there in years! No shame in sharing or pointing out a great place! Sometimes I wish I would run into someone else but they're too busy getting high off of boat fuel/oil! bannana2

On the golf course? Or where exactly? Looks like a neighborhood to me...
I work right down the road from there! I'd love to check it out!

Yes, by Glen Eagles down to Frankford! I don't care about sharing. Anyone that enjoys fishing and the outdoors would be nuts to overlook this place.

Does the golf course have any issues with people fishing the creek?

You'll really enjoy it once it's fished out. That stretch can go through slumps...because it gets fished out. I've been fishing it for years off and on and have run into overly-determined meathunters, castnetters, and dudes shooting anything that swims with a bow and arrow down there.

As *small* a fishery as it is (and it really is), and as urban as it is, posting it on the internet might not be the best idea if you truly enjoy the spot. I'm not sure you realize how many people read these message boards for cheap, easy info like that.

Just my opinion.

Not in my experience, however I asked and they said I could fish their ponds on Mondays all day. You just have to go to the clubhouse and get permission no later that 2 days prior. I've waded through the creek where it goes through the course and have never been approached. Even had a golfer offer me a beer over there not too long ago. bannana2
