Has anyone had any experiences with buying remanufactured lowrance units? I found a great deal for one with a total-scan transducer but being remanufactured gives me a little worry. They still come with a 2 year warranty so that gives me a little peace about it.

Remans usually only have a 6 month warranty, so you better get whom ever that told you 2 years to write that down for you.

The warranty on a replacement unit is the remaining original warranty or 6 months, whichever is greater. So if you send in your new unit after 6 months, then the replacement unit would have 18 months of warranty left. Best advice is to ask for the serial number and call Lowrance warranty department and ask them.

Depends how good a deal. Brand new gen3 are 1880 for a new 2year warranty in a hds 12. Your not saying gen 2 or size
