Howdy TFF,

As part of Bass Pro Shops annual Crappie Madness, I will be at Bass Pro Shops - Garland, Feb 3, 4 and Feb 10, 11 giving seminars on crappie fishing. The Friday seminars will be at 7:00pm, and the Saturday seminars will be at 11:00am, and 2:00pm

My tournament partner, Wes, will be at the Bass Pro Shops - Grapevine hosting seminars on these same dates/times.

This year's topics will center around the spring-time fishing and everything to take you from March - June, as well as some "round-table" discussion that we can all benefit from. fish

I will tailor my seminars to also include bank fishing information for those of you who do not fish from boats...as well as anything else you want to discuss.

Come on out and enjoy some time talking about our passion for fishing.

I was out there at the store this week getting some logistics lined out, and it will be a great event!

I will be in attendance. I learned alot from the last one (using those weed guards on your jigs).

You guys need to pay attention as these two have been known to tell a fib or too.

LOL,..If true fishermen didn't tell a fib now and then, I would never trust them,..
I went to a seminar last year and learned a lot,..hope to make this one...

Not always!!! Sometimes it's just a flat out blatant lie!!!

I know we are all joking around here, but just as a disclaimer...Wes and I are 100% honest with our seminars. Looking forward to seeing many of you over the next 2 weeks. It will be 6 great events for sure!

I was just playing along!! By no means am I suggesting Brian and Wes are anything but standup with their seminars!! Little man on the other hand!! Wear rubber boots if he gets going!!!

If you guys/gals have any suggestions for discussion topics, feel free to post here, and I'll include them in the seminars.

Looking forward to the discussion Brian as I will be there @Garland location 2pm Saturday. Here are a few items to consider....

1) Temperatures at which the crappie start moving shallow for spawning.
2) Do the fish generally stay shallow during the spawn or do they migrate back and forth to/from deeper water (possibly at night)
3) Locations of the lake to fish during the Spawn timeframe....Areas where there are sharp drop-offs shallow to deep, or just shallow flats, etc. Basically how to locate shallow fish in most lakes in general.
4) Post spawn locations? Cover, Creek beds, locations close to where they spawned?
5) How to fish during the spawn? Casting, spider rigging, preventing from spooking the fish. To cover more water can I troll and cast a small jig to various shallow locations...cast and retrieve or with a float?
6) Night fishing?
