I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section, so my apologies if I didn't. I have a 1996 19ft 6in Skeeter that I want to get new carpet and gel coat restoration put in. I'd also like to get hydraulic steering for my 2001 Yahama VMAX 150hp. Any suggestions on fairly priced places around DFW or someone that has a home business? Everywhere I've called so far has been very expensive. Thanks for your help!

What's your location?

Vic's Marine - Rowlett
Classic - Sanger
Johnson's - Burleson
Brown's - Mesquite

These are all good places and are around the metroplex

I am in Fort Worth and I drive past several places to get to Alvarado to see Chris Davis at Lakeside Marine Specialties. He has done very specialized work on my old Ranger/Yamaha. I can't recommend him enough. He pays attention to detail more than any place I've been. The best part is he will let you schedule a time to bring your boat down to minimize your time off the water. I have gone to other places where the boat sits for 3 weeks before they even look at it. If there is something outside his expertise, he will tell you and he knows exactly who can get the job done the best. Customer service is outstanding and his prices are very fair. I honestly don't think he charges enough for some of the projects I brought him.

Look at Lake Fork Boat Carpet in the classifieds. I have never used him but his work looks good and he does both buffing and carpet work. Was thinking about using him for my boat carpet. I want a thicker pad installed on my front deck.
