I'm headed out to Squaw Creek for the 1st time since it reopened this Saturday. Is it best to get there early and get in line or wait until around 8:30 and let the crown dissipate? Also, with the weather predicted, will there be a fog delay? FYI... I'll be ready to launch and turn my lights off...

I was there last Friday. I arrived at 6:55 and was on the water by 7:30. Wasn't bad. I hope you do better than we did. It was tough that day. There were several out there prefishing a tourney. Hardly saw any fish being caught. My buddy and I only got 6 in the boat all day. Let us know how you do this week. Good luck.

I sleep in and aim to be there around 8. Get some rest and let everyone else stare at trailer lights. That'll even give the park time to figure out if there will be a fog delay. I'd call before driving all the way from Lewisville. Rumor is some people have written thier names on trees with bass blood so be careful not to fish other people's spots. Scary I know...

Go early, leave headlights on when you back down the ramp. Also wait to get the boat ready while on the ramp.
