So me and a buddy went to this pond that we "heard" had smallmouth bass in it! We ended up actually catching some and I made a video out of it! I would love if y'all could go check it out and tell me how my videos are turning out? Always trying to improve! Also has anyone else found Ponds like this?? Video link- https://youtu.be/fBctwqYeS6I

Well you wanted feedback so here it is. I am giving it NOT to slam your video but rather constructive criticism:
First where I come from that is not a pond its a small lake which has to have some depth to it to hold and sustain smallmouth as they are very intolerant to hot/shallow water--Second you title this as a smallmouth video but yet you only show catching one. You are using what I can only assume is a Go Pro camera on a chest mount which I personally would rather see the action from a stable platform. All that moving around takes away from what you're filming. Many folks who make such videos show some sort of intro just as you did but I personally don't like watching this part and skip thru them. I also like to see some instructional information such as where your at and what your using. This can be done while your fishing, you don't have to stop fishing to show this which will somewhat shorten the BS found in other such videos.

The last time a video was posted of this "pond" the thread was deleted. You might want to not make a video of you fishing right in front of a clearly posted NO FISHING sign.

Who didn't sneak somewhere and catch a few fish in their days? I know I did, much rather these young men being doing this than stealing something I worked my entire life to buy.

If your referring to the sign on the pole out in the water, I watched it again and zoomed in with my "ole man glasses" and still couldn't tell if it says No Fishing or No Swimming. I am sure there are some here that are familiar with it.

There's small mouth in a small lake behind Home Depot in Waxahachie. It's a really deep pond/lake.
Nobody cares if ya fish it either. Just don't park in the drive behind Depot or block the install bay of BestBuy next door as well.
I don't see what the hype is about.

Who didn't sneak somewhere and catch a few fish in their days? I know I did, much rather these young men being doing this than stealing something I worked my entire life to buy. Sneaking in to places today is seen much different that it was when I was a kid in the 80's. You must have permission today. Before 1981 fish were free, the state of Texas would stock private ponds and lakes for no charge. In some cases the state even help pay to build the pond. Today, it costs thousands, 10's of thousands or even 100's of thousands of dollars to build, stock and manage a private pond or lake. Secondly, the liability for a landowner or HOA is real and could cost many thousands to defend a lawsuit. Many view fishing on private property as stealing. Rather you are taking the fish or not. The HOA has built these lakes for the residents to enjoy and pay handsomely to maintain them. HOA dues pay for maintenance for the residents, not the public. I have a friend of mine who says the days of watermelons, pecans and fish for free are over. I understand how it might be perceived as no big deal, but for the reasons mentioned above, it is a bigger deal than many understand it to be.
