Did the Green Frog Friday. They had catfish and CFS on the buffet. Been a while but still darn good food, with apple cobble to top it off...

Green Frog brings back fond memories from my youth. From the early fifties we travelled from Lawton Oklahoma to Gatesville Texas for our summer vacations. I can't remember going through Jacksboro without a visit to the Green Frog. I even have an antique Green Frog ashtray sitting on my computer table.

Used to eat there regular back in the late 70's early 80's but a new place opened across the street. I think it was the Farmer's Daughter or something like that. It was dang good and we started eating there. Now that place is gone and the Green Frog lives on. Might have to try it next time I go thru.

Farmers Daughter......that's going way back in time. We used to eat there some too. It closed and a Mexican food place opened up a few years later in it and then went under. After that it was a church and now it's gone. I forgotten about that place.
