What rod and reel setups do you guys use for the kiddos? Looking to get my kids into some vertical jigging this summer and I'm curious as to what setup would be best for them. Ages are 9 to 14. Any suggestions? They bass fish our ponds quite a bit so they are familiar with spinning rods.
Thanks

If they are familiar with spinning reels, there is no reason to change. Spinning is all I use for crappie. If you plan on using live bait the rod won't make much difference. It's great you are taking them crappie fishing. Good for you.
