I use the Berkeley Trilene 100% Professional Grade for all of my Fluro needs. I have not had too many "unreasonable" breakoffs using it. I use the word unreasonable because a 2 lb. bass sawing across a mesquite limb, boat dock brace or a pine log is going to cause a weak spot in the line that is just waiting for the next big fish to break it. And I am not the best at retying after each one of these instances. I am more in a hurry to go catch the next one.
I jumped on the Fluro band wagon and really don't regret it except the price. I still use Mono for top water baits and when I want to raise the running depth of a crank bait. But I can definitely tell the difference in the stretch on the hook set. I have started substituting braid for a lot my fluro uses. They have really raised the quality and cast ability of braid in the last 5 yrs. It is thinner than mono, floats, extra strong, no stretch and drives a hook home even on a weak hook set.
John K Fontenot Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often; and for the same reason.

I have been using the P-line CXX for most everything the last few years. But I tired the McCoys line and really like it....strong, casts very well. I'm going to give their fluor a try and see how it performs.

Invizx 15 and 20 works really good. On my spinning reel I use 8lb CXXX copoly Pline and it can't be broken. You could jig fish with 12lb Pline

The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

I use floro almost exclusively. And I know I'm in the minority here but I'm not a fan of sunline sniper either. I had two break off on me this summer and that's the only time I've ever used sunline. I have never had a fish break off on Seagur Invisix. It is my favorite. The BPS brand isn't bad either but I prefer Invisix or abrasix. This !! Invizx for about 2 years couldn't be happier and I tried them all, have to say Vanish would be the last one on my list. JMO Me too! Invisx has never let me down.

I commented on another similar post earlier and thought I was in the minority when it came to this subject. I thought it was just me not being able to tie certain knots properly that prevented knot breakage with fluoro. After reading this thread I am glad I did but also not surprised that many still use the tried and true Berkley Big Game line. I also noted that the majority of fluoro success stories are with InvisX. This is the Go-To fluorocarbon most pros use. But its too rich for me as much line as I go through!! LOL

I use Vanish. I do this because I fish a lot and it gets bites. I will admit, if you hang a jig in timber kiss it goodbye. I personally have never broken it on a fish. I also use Invsix, and yes I love it, but I have a kids to feed as well. If you are a chronic backlasher, don't use Flouro at all. If you are fishing open water baits, just use Vanish. If you are fishing bottom bouncing lures around timber then go with a little more expensive line. Now, do this only if you can't get the bites using Berkley Big Game! All around best line ever. The money you save will allow you to buy your date popcorn at the movie...at least until Trump gets rolling.

I've been using Berkeley Vanish for several years and have never had a problem with the line breaking.

Well, I think the reason Invizx is likely most mentioned, Red Label, too, is they are made by Seaguar and this company likely has a big advantage over almost all other fluorocarbon line manufacturers: It doesn't outsource for materials, uses its own resins.
A lot of times, as we all know, a product failure can be traced to some outsourced component that failed, a quality control issue.
It doesn't mean someone building something from scratch can't produce a lousy product, but at least, in this case Seaguar, controls its own destiny.
And, it shows. I do think there are some other really great flurocarbons and more than a few with some product "range," but Seaguar throws out a less expensive and functional line in Red Label, then it has the very high quality Invizx, Abrazx for another specific purpose . . . and probably 9 out of 10 would rank Tatsu as the premier among all of these lines.
They have half a dozen or more other technique-specific lines, too.
No, Seaguar doesn't sell its resins to others nor does it private label product for sale under other names.

If I read it right it is at the knot where it breaks not the line itself right? What I've found out about Floro no matter what brand you have you need to keep the knot wet the entire time while cinching it down or it develops too much friction and weakens the knot. After I have starting doing that the knot almost never breaks it's down the line somewhere on a nick or pinch from Professional Overcast(birdnest for the novice I've done it so much I'm considered a Pro at it LOL )

That being said, the kicker is that the copolymer knots were tied the exact same way.
