Vanish isn't very good and I have also had problems with Viscous as well.

I've used a good bit of P-line CX 6lb and 8lb on spinning reels - landed my best bass a week ago, 5 1/2 lbs on an ultra-light rod/reel. I've been pretty happy with it. I don't think it has the abrasion resistance of plain mono, but lacks memory issues I have heard/read with straight Floro. Perhaps co-poly is a better option vs some others.

5 1/2lb bass on an ultralight! I bet that was exhausting! Lol!

I've already re-strung my heavier rods with copolymer 20, I have lighter stuff on order.

I have been using that P line cxx in 12 and 15 lb for about the last year and a half. I love it. It sometimes gets frustrating how hard it is to break off a lure that is really hung up. You really got to horse it hard and then get a good jack to get it to break.

Vanish is the sorriest line known to man or woman for that matter.

Worst line ever! I can't believe they still sell it. I quit using Berkeley line because of this junk. If you want a budget friendly fluorocarbon go with Seaguar Red Label 👍

I use floro almost exclusively. And I know I'm in the minority here but I'm not a fan of sunline sniper either. I had two break off on me this summer and that's the only time I've ever used sunline. I have never had a fish break off on Seagur Invisix. It is my favorite. The BPS brand isn't bad either but I prefer Invisix or abrasix.

This !! Invizx for about 2 years couldn't be happier and I tried them all, have to say Vanish would be the last one on my list. JMO

Fluoro almost always has a smaller line diameter than mono/copoly. Also the biggest draw to fluoro to me is the abrasion resistance and lower stretch. At least it is to me. I have experimented and found that fluoro has a place in my fishing.

Try P-Line Floro Clear. Best of both worlds. Has a smaller diameter than cxx and almost as strong....

I agree with you.....the lakes here in East Tennessee are super clear...I "bought-in" on the f/c craze...I fished it for a number of years....I haven't had much luck with it....always breaking off...don't know if it gets brittle in our colder water....but, I've gone back to Big Game (clear).....haven't had any drop in numbers of catches....I have, however, seen an increase in my bank acct...f/c is too expensive, IMO...

If you had to use only the Berkley Vanish fishing line at the Bass Champs Berkley Big bass Tourny they would not have to give any boats away. That stuff is just JUNK! My2cents
