This is the upgrade for the ulterra Gen 1 to the new and improved spot lock, so if you have the gen1 ulterra and want to upgrade without buying the new trolling motor, it is kit part number 2884167. Comes with everything you need. $799.99 plus tax and shipping for the Link version. Not sure if it will be sold through retailers or not. Have to call Minn Kota directly. .

Actually those are pretty close to the legacy prices for the up grade accessory add on. The regular I pilot is $500. I was told Tuesday that an accessory for the terrova upgrade is not currently in the works

I keep seeing the postings about an upgrade to the original Minn kota Ulterra Trolling Motors where one can purchase an upgrade (current) I-pilot system and have the better anchor system. I am even seeing part numbers and pricing for the item. As a dealer and rigger, I have not been informed of this upgrade. I in fact given my Minn kota Rep the said part number and I continue to be told there is not such an item available. I am in no way doubting this thread as you have my attention whole heartedly. I am simply asking you these few questions. Have you ordered this item? Have you received this item? And lastly, where are you getting your data from and who so we may upgrade as you have.

Pm sent Ah, I see from your PM that this horse has been beatin up pretty good and for some time. Suggestion, and don't take this the wrong way please: After reading what you had sent me, Jonestrollingmotor is spot on. My suggestion is to change the subject line in this thread or request it to be deleted all-together as it is miss leading. It is not an "Upgrade". It is in fact a modification "that works". It is not something owners of the original Ulterra Motor can simply walk in and purchase and I am not certain it is an item you can even call into Minn Kota and order direct. One must go through an ASC "authorized service center" to acquire such a part. Thank you for sending me the PM and clarifying on this miss conception. David @ shut-up-and-fish
