Hello,
My name is David, I'm looking for someone to take me fishing while I'm in Abilene for a class at Dyess, AFB. Looking to catch some crappie. I've been searching for online and I cannot find any fishing guides in the area.
Thanks

Possum Kingdom is your best bet for crappie. 1 hour drive from Abilene.

Lewisville is my choice, but I live here in the DFW area! Come on down and we will go!

David The crappie fishing at Fort Phantom is good and there are a couple pay docks to go to. There is also a guy that guides out there. He posts in the Hybrid,Striper section on here all the time. He goes by Timmychanga. This time of the year the crappie in Hubbard Creek are up the creeks. There is usually pretty decent fishing at Peeler Park on the west end of the lake.

Phantom in the Springtime is pretty hot....walk the rip rap along the dam (first light).....throw white spinnerbaits.....you'll catch bass..crappie.....sandbass....if the wind is blowing into the rocks.....extra good....
