Check out Falcon. If you're looking to be in the upper end of that spectrum, look at the Caras

Check out Leviathan Rods hand built in Austin and they have some great rods in that price range. I have 2 of their rods so far and will be ordering more.

Super curious about this as I've pretty much migrated all my rods to them, their customer service is pretty much top notch in the industry, not to mention based right here!

Shimano zodius, megabass levante, falcon cara. Can't go wrong with any of those. Go some place that sells them and give each brand a feel and pick the one you like best. i have 8 falcons and one zodius and like them alot. tight lines!

I've used about everything out there... I've been using the Sierra Series from Dobyns and am extremely pleased with the craftsmanship and the action.

I agree with the Dobyns rods. The Champion series is just above your price piont, but they are GREAT rods, light, VERY SENSITIVE and high quality. The Dobyns Sierra and Savvy lines are great rods as well. Fury is a great price ofr a pretty good rod. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
